The KPMS Cougars Athletic Program is a big part of our school. Time spent on the court, mat, track or field help these young people learn many skills they will use throughout their lives. Being a part of a team, win or loose, teaches students much about themselves and how to work together with others to achieve a common goal.
Our program is all about participation, teamwork and learning.
As much as possible we include all interested students that want to participate. Although we must cut for basketball and volleyball, this is done based as much on effort and attitude as it is the individual skill for the sport. We also offer manager positions and practice only options for some students that demonstrate a significant interest in a sport even though they may not have the skills or experience to compete at this time. KPMS 7th and 8th grade students are eligible for all sports. 6th Grade students can participate in Wrestling and Track or as managers for any sport.
