	After School Programs 2009-2010 Tuesdays, 2:45-4:30 Thursdays, 2:45-4:30 IMPORTANT -- The decision to cancel after-school programs when a 2-hour weather delay is called will be made on a case-by-case basis; after-school programs at KPMS are cancelled if school is cancelled due to weather concerns. IMPORTANT TO NOTE, on non-program dates and when after-school programs are cancelled, the after-school activity bus does not run. TUESDAY PROGRAMS CISP 6^th Grade Math Mentoring – [Academic] In partnership with Communities in Schools of Peninsula, the program is designed to increase critical mathematical skills and competence in support of classroom instruction and homework. Students may self-enroll, or participation is based on teacher/counselor recommendation; mentoring is provided by trained community members. No charge C.I.S.P. Sponsored, Ms. Rivers, Coordinator ART through Two-Waters -- Mr. Bronstad, Instructor. THURSDAY PROGRAMS Amigos -- In partnership with children’s Home Society, students are provided supervised games and activities as well as homework assistance. The program coordinator is assisted by well-screened high school mentors who work cooperatively to build relationships and model appropriate social skills. The program goal is to enhance the confidence and self image of all students involved in the program, as well as prepare interested middle school students to eventually take on mentoring roles.
