  Collaboration Time/Late Start
for 2008-09 School Year:
   

Recently, the Peninsula School Board approved the contract between the district and the teachers’ association. One very important feature of this contract provides staff a one-hour late start every Wednesday morning for the purpose of school improvement planning and collaboration.

     
  Parent Information Night:
    Parent Information Night will be held on June 12, 2008 at Peninsula High School Auditorium 6:30-7:30. Parents of incoming Freshmen are invited to listen to and speak with PHS Administrators and Staff about issues that will ease their transition from middle school to high school.
     
  Information for highly capable 7th grade students:
    The Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholars Program offers students of low income families an opportunity to pursue their passion whether it is academic, artistic, musical or athletic.  The application period is now open and you can learn more about the program as well as the application process by connecting to this link:

  Summer Health Adventures!
    For four days this summer, 150 students will visit different areas in their community hospital, interacting with staff and getting involved in hands-on activities that show what it's like to work ina health care setting.
