Thank you for your support during last month's weather. Although snow is
exciting for our students, last month's weather caused many
transportation delays and school closures. We appreciate your support as
we took steps to ensure safety for all of our students. In the event
that we have additional weather incidents this winter, please verify
your primary contact information on the web at
Parent Portal. You
may also call our main office at 253-530-4200 to verify your contact
information. Currently, emergency messages are delivered to all e-mail
addresses and the primary phone number for each student. Emergency
information can always be found on the
District website and our
Emergency Delays & Closures page or by phone on the School Closure &
Emergency Information line at
253-530-1088.
Sex
Offender Notification
The
Pierce County Sheriff usually notifies
the Peninsula School District when
registered sex offenders move into our
community. Each school's
Registered Sex Offender Notification
notebook will be updated upon receipt.
You may view this notebook in your
school's office. Additionally,
anyone with Internet access can log onto
the Pierce County Sheriff's Office
website at:

for detailed information.
Tardy Policy Explained
Please be aware that students who are late for school for any reason
other than a medical/dental appointment will be marked as an unexcused
tardy, even if a parent asks to have the tardy excused. Reasons
for tardies such as running late, missed bus or over-sleeping are not
accepted, and students may receive an infraction. This is a
friendly reminder to parents to please call the school office whenever
your student is absent for any reason and also to inform us that your
student will be tardy.
